Treaty Signing Sample Invitations
Sample email for a casual signing with a group you meet regularly (running group, book club, Mom’s group)
Hi <<Name>>,
After our run on Saturday, I’m holding a short event at the cafe and hope you can attend. I recently signed the Every Woman Treaty, a campaign calling for a global treaty to end violence against women and girls. This treaty has the potential to make the world a safer place for all women and girls and I hope you’ll come, learn more about it, and consider signing. We’ll gather in the room at the back of the cafe. Coffee provided! Hope to see you there!

Dear <<Name>>,
I recently came across a staggering statistic. Around the world, at least 1 in 3 women are raped, beaten, or assaulted. Violence against women is a pervasive, global problem, but one that is also solvable. Decades of research shows that when nations adopt proven interventions, rates of violence plummet.
How we get nations to act? A global treaty.
Please join me for an evening of friendship and activism and learn about Every Woman Treaty, a campaign for a global treaty to end violence against women and girls.

Please note this is not a fundraiser (though the nonprofit of course welcomes donations). The evening is an opportunity to come together as a community and make a difference in the lives of women and girls worldwide.
