Lisa Shields is a lifelong learner and believes in continuous improvement in all areas. She began her career in the counseling field working in domestic violence, sexual assault advocacy, and family preservation. Lisa then pivoted to take over as the fourth generation and first woman to run her family’s manufacturing business until it was sold in 2018, all while raising a family. Giving back is very important to Lisa and this desire led her to serve on many local boards, including a non-profit hospital for over a decade, where she had the opportunity to share her expertise in Lean Principles, focused on eliminating waste in various processes, most specifically related to safety and quality practices. Lisa considers herself an aspiring philanthropist who is focusing on where and how she can have the most impact in this new chapter of her life. Women’s health equity, including reproductive and maternal health, is the area where she spends most of her time. Lisa’s hobbies include travelling, hiking, Lagree Pilates, and regular walks on the beach with her husband.
