Akefa is the organizational expert behind all operations at Every Woman Treaty. She has been with the organization since 2019 and oversees EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) integration and implementation; operational management and coordination, compliance delivery and management and financial management. She works closely with the CEO and Board of Directors’ Finance Committee, which meets monthly, as well as contract CPA for bookkeeping and administrative support to ensure that funds are spent appropriately and judicially, as budgeted.
Akefa has a background in program management across diverse sectors, including telecom, software engineering and healthcare. She received training on Non-Profit Financial Stewardship from the Harvard School of Executive Education.
Throughout her life, she witnessed the oppression women face in her homeland and how the legal system has failed them every step of the way with archaic laws and practices. This led her to leave her career in the technology industry and pursue her passion to play an active role in securing women’s rights.
