Zainab works closely with the coalition, managing committees and programs, including the Emerging Leaders Council, the Mentorship Program, and the Every Woman Fellowship.

She is a Gender Specialist with nearly 20 years of experience in development and corporate sectors. She has served as a documentation specialist for a USAID-funded Gender Equity Program and as a contributing editor for Women on Board. She also worked for the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) as a management executive. Zainab is the author of numerous publications on women’s rights and violence against women, including an opinion editorial, case studies, success stories, and reports. She is a women’s rights activist who has also had the opportunity to speak nationally and internationally on women’s rights and violence against women and girls.

Zainab holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a minor in Women’s Studies, and a Master of Arts from the University of Toronto in Women and Gender Studies. Her dissertation critically analyzed the legal and implementation gaps within Islamic laws on honor crimes in Pakistan.
