Advancing the end of violence against all women and girls through collective power and care
As a key initiative of our new expanded scope of work, Every Woman is proud to launch The Resilient Collective, an academy of shared learning designed to strengthen and sustain our collective advocacy to end gender-based violence for all women and girls, while taking care of our wellbeing.
The Resilient Collective was born out of the systematic backlash against women’s rights and the increased abuse and threats activists face every day. In late 2025, Every Woman conducted a survey to better understand the realities shaping members’ work. One hundred and seventy-nine coalition members across 59 countries shared candid reflections on the pressures they face and the support they need. Funding was the most pressing concern, followed by capacity and skills training, wellness and connection, and improved partnerships and networking.
The Resilient Collective programming speaks directly to these needs, bringing together capacity-building, shared learning, and community connection to support activists in deepening their advocacy while remaining connected and supported.
Monthly seminars include workshops on:
- grant writing and fundraising,
- storytelling for advocacy
- digital safety
- tools for organising and advocacy in the current climate.
Programming also includes:
- support and resources to address burnout
- trauma-informed healing
- community-building events that bring us closer as a community and as individuals
Resilient Collective members also have access to our new Member Resource Hub, a database that links members to grant opportunities, training sessions, conferences and a referral service for customised requests. (Launching March 31!)
One of the key points the survey revealed was that across the globe, the movement to end violence against women and girls is grounded in purpose and collective care. Coalition members pointed to survivors, shared values, and solidarity with peers as central sources of resilience. In these times of pressure, uncertainty, and rapid change, this is perhaps the most important role the Resilient Collective can serve—as a space to connect and recharge as individuals and a movement.
