“I am now part of a collective voice, a global voice, which will have much more positive impact to build the momentum for a treaty to end violence against women and girls.”
– Farwa Zafar, Gender Consultant, Pakistan (May 2021)
The Every Woman Fellowship is now accepting applications for 2025 cohorts!
The Every Woman Fellowship is a free, cross-regional, peer-to-peer, cohort-based, advanced online training opportunity for women’s rights activists. Participants hone advocacy capabilities including storytelling, securing media opportunities, and interfacing with policymakers, diplomats, and high-level government officials.
Each cohort runs 3 consecutive weeks with 7 classes of 2 hours each. (Cohort dates will be announced at a later date.)
If you’re interested in advancing your leadership in local, regional and global advocacy — and being part of an engaged, global women’s rights group — we would love to receive an application from you.
To date, 385 activists from 61 nations in 6 continents have graduated from the Fellowship program.

What Fellows Say About the Program
“It is an absolute honor to be selected and given a platform to learn and contribute to the global treaty to end violence against women and girls, particularly in South Asia. This opportunity has instilled a strong sense of responsibility to positively impact and advocate for protecting women and girls. Moreover, I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience. Thank you for this incredible opportunity and for believing in me.” – Kalaiyarasi Sivanesan, Sri Lanka (August 2023)
“I have always been passionate about Women and Girls but I did not know how to go about it. I am now able to clearly articulate facts and statistics about VAWG. I have gained media skills at a practical level and I am able to apply them. I have learnt about the regional treaties and how insufficient they are. I have met great women who have empowered me to continue with my work in ending VAWG. I have realized how I have been violated and that I can speak out not just for myself but for others as well.” – Oricia Makonda Ngenyibungi, DRC (May 2023)
“I find fellowship very useful and holistic. I enjoyed listening to all trainings and materials, either live or after as a recording. I also think it is useful to have this training in the compressed time as you have organized it.” – Pille Tsopp-Pagan, Estonia (July 2022)
“Meeting other women in the struggle gave me confidence that there is a network out there that one can tap into.” – Zynab Binta Kamara, Sierra Leone (Sept 2021)
“I find the fellowship extremely helpful. It boosted my confidence immensely. I am ready to make all my unpublished blogs public. I learned the methods which can be used to analyze the problem. I can’t wait to use them at work.” – Purimetla Raghavi, India (April 2022)
“It is excellently put together and tailored for online learning — amazing global expertise from all subjects with applicable exercises.” – Deborah Alaña Davis, Argentina and Venezuela (April 2022)
“The training was excellent, the fellows eager and informative, and the coordinators friendly, approachable, and fabulous!” – Kabahenda Kiggundu, Canada (October 2021)
“The community of international women was wonderful. It is my passion to develop a broader global network and work with women from around the world. You chose outstanding women for this program and I will be pleased to keep meeting with them and getting to know them better.” – Julie Heifetz, USA (February 2022)
“I loved the fact that we had Zainab as our facilitator made all the difference. Having to go through so much information in such a short time is overwhelming, but Zainab’s professionalism, patience, and understanding of the material, made it possible to stick with it until the end. I love the fact that I got to have access to information I would never have otherwise gotten or even known exists. I also appreciate the homework and breakout rooms to practice. This allowed us to feel how real all of this is.” – Hajah Kandeh, Sierra Leone (February 2023)
